We Will Not Be Silenced

We Will Not Be Silenced – A Film by Gigi Gaston

We Will Not Be Silenced is a documentary film that chronicles voter fraud that took place during the 2008 Democratic Primary Election.

The filmmakers allege that Hillary Clinton, by all accounts, except caucuses, won the Primary Election and should therefore have won the 2008 Democratic Nominee.

“We are not angry liberals; we are disappointed Democrats, who love our country and feel the DNC needs to stand for truth… The DNC and the Obama Campaign need to be held accountable for the catastrophe of the 2008 Democratic Primary. We must right their wrongs…after all, this is America, the Land of the Free, where every American has the right to a fair, honest voting process, and to have his or her vote counted…”

Indoctrinate U

Freedom of thought and expression are imperative to individual growth.

As we mature through childhood, to adolescence, all the way to adulthood, much of what we learn to do and not to do can be attributed to freedom of thought and expression.

As it relates to education, it is in this writer’s opinion that freedom of thought and expression are of extreme importance.

To engage a topic objectively, to examine both sides of the coin, should be paramount and pursued in all classrooms and all aspects of life.

But how much of this objective teaching goes on in today’s classrooms? Are teachers and administration checking ideology at the door, or has subjective ideology gained a foothold in the lesson plan of some teachers?

Indoctrinate U, is a documentary that focuses on the attack of freedom of thought on college campuses and how it affects students and faculty.

The film argues that an overwhelmingly number of faculty are liberal or Democrat. In making this argument, filmmaker Evan Coyne Maloney, suggests that the ideology of some faculty has spilled over into the classroom and into the administration. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A8427-2005Mar28.html

As a result, teachers are afraid to declare themselves conservative or Republican in fear of reprise. Students are labeled as dissenters for having, and sharing, opposing views.

Indoctrinate U, will take you on the campuses of many well-known colleges across the US to examine how the ideology of it, at times, has restricted the freedom of thought for many.

Are our colleges stifling freedom of thought, rational debate and diversity of ideas?

The Great Global Warming Swindle

Should a political organization be allowed to influence legislation?

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is a United Nations intergovernmental body first established in 1988.

Its main purpose is to, “assess the scientific, technical and socio-economic information relevant for the understanding of the risk of human-induced climate change.”  http://www.ipcc.ch/

Climatologists argue that man-made carbon dioxide is contributing to global warming. They argue that the increase of carbon dioxide created by man is directly related to climate change.

With the current attention on the green market, the question arises; how much influence does the IPCC have on the legislative process in the US?

Have our green energy laws been passed based on faulty evidence or half truths?

The Great Global Warming Swindle argues that the answer is yes. http://www.greatglobalwarmingswindle.co.uk/

Since as far back as 2003 leading climatologists and scientists on the other side of the debate have found that carbon dioxide, one of the primary green house gases in Earths atmosphere, has not been linked to an increase in temperature primarily.

These same scientists argue that, water vapor, another primary green house gas, plays a large role in climate change.

Furthermore, they argue humans are not the main source of carbon dioxide and allege, through scientific evidence, that volcanoes cause more carbon dioxide emission than all other sources of man made carbon dioxide combined.

Have we been sold a bad bill of goods based on faulty evidence?

Some say yes, others no.

Expelled – No Intelligence Allowed

Is freedom of thought in academia under attack in America?

In, Expelled – No Intelligence Allowed (2008), Ben Stein argues that promoting, or exploring the possibility of, Intelligent Design as an alternative to Darwinism can get you fired or blacklisted within the academic community.

The film raises the question; shouldn’t schools promote freedom of thought and rational debate? If a theory is thought to have errors or just be completely wrong, shouldn’t open rational debate be a logical approach to confirm the validity of the claims made against said theory?

In, Expelled – No Intelligence Allowed, Stein shows that experts in academia are labeled as dissenters and are sometimes silenced for trying to engage in rational thought provoking debate.

Whether you are a person of extreme faith or person of science, freedom of thought should be paramount in the academic arena.

With that said, the film raises an interesting point. If you wish to enter into the field of science, you may have to check your religion at the door.
